In year 2007, Department of Business Management was established in time for the transformation of National Kaohsiung Normal University (NKNU) into a comprehensive university. In 2011, we merged the Institute of Science & Technology Management with department of Business Management and started our Master's degree Program. In the same year, we also started Master's Degree Program for Working Professionals (Evening). Currently, our department have Undergraduate program, Master's Degree Program and Master's Degree Program for Working Professionals (Evening).
    The Department adheres to the cultivation of students with professional in business management and pays attention to the cultivation of student's soft power. Especially in teamwork, communication and coordination, oral abilities, logical analysis, organizational skills, briefing skills, etc. Through the course design, students can construct complete professional ability and soft power in the learning process.
    Our department has 9 full-time teachers, including 5 professors and 4 associate professors. The faculty structure and quality are characterized by "diversity, youth and specialization", Our teachers have great academic background, all of them have doctorates in management related fields from well-known universities at home and abroad. The subjects taught by teachers are highly integrated with academic expertise, and they have more dynamic, creativity and potential.
    In terms of the cultivation of students in all the academic systems of the department, the curriculum arrangement of the Undergraduate program is mainly in the direction of enrollment, employment and so on. Our Master's degree thesis is mainly connected with practical work, hoping to be able to integrate learning and application into the workplace after graduation. Whereas the Master's Degree Program for Working Professionals (Evening) focuses on the application and integration of knowledge, to be able to improve work efficiency, improve the quality of work, improve management functions as the main teaching objectives.
    In the past ten years, the Department has gradually developed a systematic alumni link and coupled with teaching, research and counseling, gradually forming a trinity of teaching, research and support, and achieving the goal of cultivating high-quality management talents.
